When does Planet Marfa open back up this spring 2020?
I had a blast at this bar! Great music, atmosphere, and prices. A wonderful place to spend a weekend dancing the night away (which is exactly what I did). I would love to come back here the next time I come through town.
MoreWay cool little bar/restaurant with outdoor seating. Visited once, but would definitely go out of my way to stop here again.
MoreSuch a cool place in Marfa that I hope to be able to visit again soon. Great atmosphere, great people, and great music. Nothing better to ask for!
MoreLove Planet Marfa!
The food is okay, but over priced ($8 for a small plate of nachos). The scenery and ambiance is good though. I wouldn't go here for dinner or expecting a full meal. Go here for drinks and to enjoy the evening outside.
MoreLove this place!!! Can't wait to get back their. Extremely friendly and inexpensive. Really enjoy the eclectic atmosphere and the live music!
MoreVery cool place, I've never been to anything like it. Half bar, half amusement park.
MoreGood beer. Cool tipi. Wish they had a better food menu.
REEEEEALLY cool place. So happy it was recommended.
Best.nachos.ever. Get the pico, trust me. Plenty of beers and locals. Great spot!
MorePlanet Marfa was super cool. Each area of the bar has it's own feel and charm to it. There are only a couple of beers on tap but there's plenty in bottles.
MoreNice place to have a beer outside.
Interesting eclectic place to have a beer and hangout
Love their nachos and friendliness make you feel right at home
The town was a let down, especially as compared to Fort Davis. But at absolute "must-do" is the beer garden with drafts and nachos. Splurge and add the pico de gallo which is out of this world.
MoreGreat beer garden/western vibe. We played several games of ping pong with other travelers we met and watched college football. Would for sure go back
MorePlanet Marfa is great. The proper expectations should be in place however. There isn't much variety in the way of food or beer, but the nachos are simple and delicious- do NOT skip the pico. The beer is mostly middle-of-the-road bottles (unexpected) and there is no liquor (expected). Also, they're only open on the weekend. The atmosphere is fun and has the "Marfa feel" without being almost satirically hip like some other places around town. The bartender was a nice guy who did his job well and made good conversation. The owners were there and made us feel welcome. It was a good experience. There is plenty of (mostly outdoor) seating, a television, and a ping pong table. When I find my way back to Marfa I'll be stopping by here again. I highly recommend checking it out.
MoreFantastic vibe! Wonderful place to just hang out if you're looking to have a beer or just a quick snack.
MoreThis place is wonderful. Tons of art everywhere. Going back for sure, and I live in Tampa, Fl.
MoreThis place has everything: a huge teepee, old school bus, rooftop patio, and a rock collection. The owner is really friendly and welcoming, and they serve local beer from big bend brewing. Very cool.
MoreSuch a cool place to hang out. You do not see a lot of millennials here , normal people , great music. The owner is Norvegian super nice lady Music is unbelievable. A lot of Cow boy hats .
MorePretty ritzy and fun. Good for singles who are looking to mingle and couples who want to have fun. I don't know why people say the beers are cheap here - they're $4 a bottle, and that's all they sell.
MoreSuch a cute place in Marfa! Great cheleda, too!
I love this place- Marfa sure has changed from when I grew up there & this place is awesome.
MoreVery cool, laid back atmosphere
Fun place to hang out, grab a beer and chat with locals and tourists. Be sure to have some nachos here!
MoreAwesome experience in this little town. Lots of fun
Fun, lively watering hole. The owners are characters in their own right. And it has a Teepee! Worth a visit.
MoreOutdoor space has a variety of random places to sit and enjoy a drink including, a teepee, a bus, roof patio, and small more private tables. Folks there were mostly in town visiting, not a lot of local traffic. The decor and vibe of the space felt very fabricated and unnatural. Service was a good, bar wasn't very busy. They have food there but the kitchen was closed during our visit. Easy to find and parking available. Would recommend for a beer, good music playing and they have ping pong tables.
MoreLight a fire in the teepee. Play bullring. Drink a michelada.
Lovely ambience. Plenty of beers to choose from, but the food is overpriced for the quality.
MoreBest backyard/patio in town, and a solid crew of bartenders. I felt at home, even when I was 800 miles away.
MoreA beautiful oasis, with cheap bottles, and fantastic music. Planet Marfa will also delight you with an array of games and ample seating choices all wrapped in West Texas charm. I hope to return soon.
MoreGreat place. The lady behind the bar is very rude and I won’t return because of that
MoreHad a great time with friends few beers. Good selection of beer and little wine. Food wise only four things on the menu. Great nachos, with side of pick and chips. Great hot dogs. Something like s chalupa with beans cheese and pineapple.
MorePerfect encapsulation of the Marfa vibe. Grab a beer, people watch, and chill.
Delicious salsa. The tomatoes here are amazing.
Great atmosphere and a great place to meet up with friends. Highly recommend.
Charming! I love the teepee seating.
A fun place to hang out for a drink, light bite and games. We had a great evening here. Reasonably priced too!
MoreGreat quirky little spot in a quirky little town. Drink selection was good. They have a limited food menu, so don't plan on having dinner here. The ambience and activities were great, though. Bull ring game in the back was my family's favorite. We'll definitely be back.
MoreBeautiful weird hippie vibes with a Tee pee a stage hook ring and string and cold beer
MoreThis is a really good place for a beer and a light bite
Fun place, some tourists but lots of colorful locals.
Great place to enjoy with friends!
This was a great place to grab a drink and nachos/hot dogs. There are some really interesting places to eat and socialize. The best part is the upstairs deck and the teepee. Overall the place wasn't super kid friendly (it's a bar after all) but interesting and was a nice blend of locals and tourists.
MoreThis place is a playground with beer—for the adults who are still children at heart.
MoreCLOSED TIL MARCH.I'm not sure why they couldn't bring in their sandwich board that says they're open after 2 on weekends yet they're closed til spring. More frustration with Google for having incorrect hours here and making revisions difficult.
MoreGreat place to relax and have a beer, has a great vibe
Fantastic! fun, welcoming, open-air environment. Friendly staff. Games, entertainment, drinks, food... what more could you ask for?!
